nascanna.com is a business unit of Dúrud Teoranta and its aim is to promote the Irish language in the field of IT.
Some of the projects we are currently working on are:
- Promotion of general IT facilities in Irish
- Promotion of IT facilities focused on the Irish language itself
- Provision of application specific IT equipment
One of the devices available from Dúrud is the first computer keyboard ever created for the Irish language itself, which has separate buttons for accented vowels, making writing Irish much more convenient. Say goodbye to AltGr and all the finger gymnastics that goes with it!
